Laser hair removal in the area of face and neck really saves you if you wish to get rid of undesired hair forever. As opposed to shaving, epilation creams and wax hair removal, which have a number of side effects such as ingrown hair, pain and irritation areas, laser hair removal is painless, effective, quick and safe method of facial hair removal.
Moreover, other ways of getting rid of undesired hair are short-term, whereas laser hair removal allows to forget about such a problem at all, on condition that the whole course of procedures has been taken.
To prepare for the procedure of facial laser hair removal, you need to follow these simple rules:
- Don’t have a tan 7 days before the procedure either under the direct sunlight or in a sun parlor. If you are still outside, use SPF 30+ sun protection creams.
- Refuse from all kinds of epilation, connected with removing hair with bulbs (wax, sugaring etc.), minimum 2 weeks before attending our studio, as hair follicles are damaged, and the lack of hair with bulbs will make the laser hair removal procedure ineffective.
- A day before the procedure or on this day, shave hair in the desired zone of treatment. At the moment of procedure, the length of hair must be 2-3 mm for the most effective laser work.
- Don’t use foundation or other types of beauty products. Before the procedure, the facial skin must be totally cleansed.
After the preliminary consultation, our specialist will determine your phototype, make sure that no counter-indications are available, and set the device of laser hair removal individually.
Then the skin of the desired zone is cleansed and special cooling gel is applied.
After that, hair removal of the selected zone is undertaken by the device. Finally, all remains of gel are removed and recovery cream is applied.
After the procedure it is recommended to avoid going to sun parlors or to the beach within several days (important – 3 days, but we recommend 7 days), since ultraviolet emission may affect the skin after the laser.
Moreover, it is prohibited:
- To use abrasive means for skin treatment (scrubs);
- To pluck hairs out of skin;
- To use sun protection cream and moisturizing beauty products.
The number of sessions is determined individually and depends on many factors: thickness and conditions of hair, endocrine profile, individual peculiarities etc. Moreover, correct preparation for each procedure is also important. The effectiveness of laser hair removal will be higher, if hair grows even and completely in the processed zone at the moment of the procedure.
